Alexis serves as the Grantmaking Assistant at the Community Foundation, supporting the team with grant distributions, private foundations, and general operations. She brings over five years of nonprofit experience in education and museums to her role. Alexis earned both her master’s degree in community and economic development and her bachelor’s degree in management and philosophy from Western Illinois University. In her free time, Alexis enjoys supporting her favorite small businesses, frequenting the Rock Island Public Library, watercolor painting, practicing jiu jitsu, tending to her flower garden, and making bouquets for her friends. Originally from the Chicago area, Alexis is proud to call Rock Island home.
