A donor advised fund at the Quad Cities Community Foundation is a great way for individuals, families and even companies to direct charitable contributions to nonprofit organizations from a single funding source. With every gift to the fund, the donor receives a tax benefit in the same calendar year. Donations from the fund, in the form of grants, can then be made to your community and the nonprofits you care about over time.

And, by opening your donor advised fund with the Quad Cities Community Foundation, you benefit from philanthropic guidance from our knowledgeable staff and administrative support including verifying charities’ 501(c)(3) status, processing grants, maintaining records and providing you with simple receipts and statements for tax purposes.

There are several options to consider when creating a donor advised fund. You can choose from a permanently endowed fund to ensure a long-term, charitable legacy, or a non-endowed fund that allows for granting the entirety of the gift. Gifts can be made at any time to a donor advised fund, and we can even help you gift stock and other assets to your fund. And an endowed donor advised fund can be designated as Endow Iowa Eligible, in cases where Iowa donors with to avail themselves of the valuable 25% tax credit.
