When companies give, community grows
by Sue Hafkemeyer, President & CEO
How can we help build a future we all want to live in?
Our corporate philanthropy partners are answering that question in remarkable ways. And through the corporate philanthropy program at the Quad Cities Community Foundation, I’ve seen firsthand how a company’s generosity can ripple outward, shaping lives, strengthening neighborhoods, and fueling opportunity across our region. It’s not just about writing a check.
That’s why we recently sat down to interview several local business leaders and highlight the impact they are making through intentional, guided corporate giving. I’m excited to share their message with you, and I hope their words echo throughout the community and inspire us all to think about the potential for businesses to help drive change.
You’ll see that at Twin Shores, giving back is built into their company identity, from supporting youth programs to backing community events that bring people together. Their team shows that when businesses lead with heart, they create spaces where connection and belonging can grow.
As Jenny Grobstich, Twin Shores’ marketing director, said, partnering with the Community Foundation allows them to give strategically, and in a way that honors the roots and values of their business and its leaders. A unified, efficient corporate philanthropy mission means that their organization is giving for today and building a legacy for the future.
Twin Shores is just one example from our many corporate partners. It shows what’s possible when corporate giving becomes part of how we do business in the Quad Cities. Together, we can align resources, expertise, and compassion to move our region forward, faster and farther than any of us could alone.
When I think about what defines a thriving community, I think about shared investment. I think about people and businesses alike stepping up to make the Quad Cities region a place where everyone can belong and succeed. Corporate philanthropy is one of the most powerful ways that happens. It’s where business purpose meets community potential. And we make it as easy and efficient as we can to live out your philanthropy in meaningful ways.
Whether you own a business or work for one, let’s continue to band together to transform our region. Simply reply to this email to get the conversation going on how we can create a legacy of good.
