Quad Cities Community Foundation staff earn top regional honors for leadership in philanthropy and advocacy

Two members of the Quad Cities Community Foundation team have recently been recognized for their outstanding contributions to philanthropy, advocacy, and community leadership.

Anne Calder, CAP, vice president of development, has been named the Outstanding Planned Giving Professional of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Quad Cities Chapter.

The award, presented in partnership with the Quad City Planned Giving Council, honors individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership in charitable gift planning. Recipients are recognized for inspiring others to incorporate planned giving into their philanthropic work and for practicing their profession with exemplary skill and integrity.

Calder’s work exemplifies those qualities. With deep expertise and a relationship-driven approach, she helps donors create legacies that will benefit the Quad Cities for generations. Her ability to connect generosity with lasting community impact has inspired countless individuals and families to align their giving with their values.

Calder and other award recipients will be honored at a November ceremony.

Daisy Moran, director of the Hunt and Diane Harris Center for Nonprofit Excellence, was also recognized for her community leadership during the Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Annual Gala and Award Celebration. Moran received the Sergio Mendoza Advocate of the Year Award.

Named in memory of the late Sergio Mendoza—a respected community leader known for his tireless efforts to open doors for others—the award celebrates individuals who embody his spirit of advocacy and service.

Both Calder and Moran exemplify the Community Foundation’s mission to champion generosity and strengthen the region through leadership, partnership, and advocacy.

“We are so proud of Anne and Daisy for these well-deserved honors,” said Sue Hafkemeyer, president and CEO of the Quad Cities Community Foundation. “Their leadership represents the best of our organization—and of our community. They remind us what’s possible when we work together for the greater good.”
