The Isabel Bloom Art Education Fund Grant
maximum awarded per application: $2,000
available: approximately $7,000 available
contact: Heather Calvert
opens: August 1
deadline: September 30
The Isabel Bloom company established the Isabel Bloom Art Education Fund to honor the memory of the sculptor and company founder and provide extra financial support to visual arts education in primary and secondary schools in Scott and Rock Island Counties. The company could think of no better way to celebrate Isabel's life than to combine her love of children with her passion for all forms of visual art. Grants from the fund further the education of local children and art instructors, foster greater appreciation of the visual arts, and help enhance the quality of life in our Quad Cities.
Grants will enhance visual arts education in the primary and secondary schools of Scott County, Iowa, and Rock Island County, Illinois. Visual arts include painting, drawing, sculpting, and similar art forms. This grant is not intended to encompass the performing arts. Grant purposes may include (but are not limited to) individual projects, year-long curricula, interdisciplinary efforts, professional development, and equipment purchase.
Applications for this grant must be authorized by and coordinated through the school district.
School districts applying for this grant must be located in Scott County, Iowa or Rock Island County, Illinois.
Public and private school districts are eligible if there are at least 500 children in the district.
School districts may submit multiple applications. If more than two applications are submitted from a single school district, the district must provide Community Foundation with a prioritized list of projects before the grant deadline. The list may be emailed to grants@QCCommunityFoundation.org.
