The Quad Cities Community Foundation, in partnership with WVIK-Quad Cities NPR, is offering a free estate planning seminar on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at 6 p.m.

Attorneys Pete Wessels and David Wierman of Wessels & Wierman and Wealth Manager David Nelson of NelsonCorp Wealth Management will lead the 90-minute seminar. The seminar will guide attendees through ways they can strengthen their current finances, reduces taxes, and help plan their philanthropic legacies.

“For 55 years, the Quad Cities Community Foundation has partnered with individuals and families to grow charitable gifts that benefit our region,” said Anne Calder, vice president of development. “One of those ways is by leaving a percentage of their estate to the charitable causes that matter most to them. We are grateful to have the expertise of Pete, David, and David to help attendees see the benefits—and know their options.”

The seminar will be hosted at the Quad Cities Community Foundation’s office at 852 Middle Road, Suite 100, in Bettendorf. Topics will include a review of differences between wills and trusts, explore ways to enhance finances, understand hidden taxes on retirement plan assets, and recommendations on how charitable giving can help meet your planning goals.

Refreshments will be provided. Registrations are being accepted through Tuesday, September 17 to Melanie Jones at MelanieJones@QCCommunityFoundation.org.
