Your 2025 guide to year end giving
As you plan your year-end giving, remember the meaningful impact your generosity creates in our community. A gift in honor of someone special is a wonderful way to share that impact. Every contribution you make brings hope and opportunity to those who need it most. With 2026 approaching, here are a few helpful reminders.
Our office will be closed November 24–28 for Thanksgiving, reopening December 1 at 8:00 a.m.
The 2025 Community Giving Catalog is open—join with other donors to support nonprofits across the region. Explore the Catalog.
Endowment Tax Credits: Both Illinois and Iowa endowment gift income tax credits remain, awarded first-come, first-served, for gifts to eligible endowment funds. Illinois taxpayers will need to be set up with a MyTax Illinois account through the state to claim credits. For more information, contact our office.
Consider a gift to a Community Impact Fund benefitting the community close to your heart, or to the Friends of the Foundation Endowment Fund, or explore other giving options by contacting us.
Donor-advised fundholders: Please submit grant recommendations by December 12 for fulfillment by year-end. After this date, we’ll strive to complete grants quickly, but we cannot guarantee they will be issued by December 31. Recommendations can be made through MyFund.
Online gifts and cryptocurrency gifts may be made until 11:59 p.m. CT on December 31 and still count for 2025.
For gifts of stock, IRA distributions, or electronic transfers, please notify us in advance—these take extra time. Stock gifts must be received by 3 p.m. on December 30.
USPS-mailed gifts require a postmark no later than December 31; UPS/FedEx deliveries must arrive in our office by 3 p.m. on December 31.
Our office will be open December 22, 23, 26, and 29–31 from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. For after-hours assistance, leave a voicemail at (563) 326-2840 or email Anne at annecalder@QCCommunityFoundation.org.
Thank you for helping transform your community through the power of generosity. Your support truly makes a lasting difference.
