Building a movement of generosity

Every time I talk with one of our donors, I’m reminded that generosity is more than a moment—it’s a movement. Here in the Quad Cities, it’s the heartbeat of a community that believes in showing up for one another, in turning compassion into action, and in building a future we can all share.
Across the nation and right here at home, the need is real. But so is the power we hold when we act together. That’s what the just-launched 2025 Community Foundation Giving Catalog represents: a movement of generosity that unites people who care deeply about this place and the people who call it home.
The Giving Catalog is just like all of the gift guides that we see arriving in our mailboxes (and inboxes) this time of year, but it’s solely focused on how you can support nonprofits engaged in deeply meaningful work here at home.
Inside this year’s Giving Catalog, you’ll find 40 local nonprofit projects—each one a spark of possibility. From creating more opportunities for youth, to expanding access to housing and resources for seniors, to strengthening the arts and outdoor spaces that enrich our daily lives, it is full of ideas that move our community forward.
When you make a gift through the Giving Catalog, you join others who believe that generosity can—and does—change everything. Every dollar goes straight to work, meeting today’s needs and shaping tomorrow’s impact. Imagine the excitement on the faces of nonprofit workers when they learn that you have funded some (or maybe even all!) of their immediate needs.
Please take a moment to explore the projects, find the causes that inspire you, and be part of this movement of generosity. Together, we’re building a stronger, more vibrant Quad Cities. One gift, one project, one act of generosity at a time.
