Over $600,000 in Community Foundation scholarships available

Applications for Quad Cities Community Foundation scholarships are now open for 2026. Thanks to generous donors, local students can apply for more than 70 scholarship opportunities totaling over $600,000.

Applications are due by February 15, 2026, with recipients announced in May. Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

“Education can transform a student’s path, and, in turn, the future of our region,” said Sue Hafkemeyer, the Community Foundation’s president and CEO. “Our donors understand that helping one student succeed uplifts us all.”

Scholarships are available for high school seniors as well as those who have already graduated. Students continuing their education at trade and technical schools, community colleges, and four-year institutions are all eligible. This year, there are nine awards eligible to support graduate students. No matter a student's age or situation, there are scholarship opportunities available.

The deadline to apply for scholarships is February 15, 2026—but students are strongly encouraged to begin the process early. Find more information on the application process on the Community Foundation’s updated scholarship website here: www.QCCommunityFoundation.org/scholarships

“Scholarships help ensure that every student has the chance to pursue their potential,” said Kelly Thompson, vice president of grantmaking and community initiatives. “Improving access to education fuels a stronger and brighter future for our region.”
