Community Foundation expanding leadership team to meet strategic growth
The Quad Cities Community Foundation is starting the new year by expanding its executive team to better support the region's nonprofits, donors, and communities, and enhance its ability to serve in meaningful and effective ways.
“Grantmaking and community initiatives are central to our mission,” said Sue Hafkemeyer, the Community Foundation’s president and CEO. “Together with our board, we’ve designed a new structure that’s going to help us serve and grow some of our most impactful programs like never before.”
Kelly Thompson is now the vice president of strategic initiatives. She will lead the team that strengthens the nonprofit sector through the Hunt and Diane Harris Center for Nonprofit Excellence, support contracted philanthropic partners to advance their missions and engage in community collaborations addressing major issues facing the Quad Cities region.
Kaleigh Trammell has been promoted to vice president of grantmaking. In this role, she will lead grantmaking strategy for the Community Foundation and oversee the team responsible for ensuring that all dollars granted through programs, donor-driven funds, nonprofit agency endowments, and scholarships fulfill their charitable purposes.
“Both Kelly and Kaleigh bring deep expertise and commitment to their new roles,” said Hafkemeyer. “I’m excited to see how they will move the needle even further for our nonprofit sector. This new structure means we can more effectively serve local organizations, donors, and the broader community as our strategic vision moves forward.”
