Over $900,000 in Community Foundation scholarships available for 2027

Seven new scholarships expand opportunities as program marks 30 years

Applications for Quad Cities Community Foundation scholarships are now open for 2027. Thanks to generous donors, students can apply for 60 scholarships totaling more than $900,000 in financial support to pursue education.

As the Community Foundation marks the 30th anniversary of its scholarship program, seven new scholarships will award up to $12,500 combined in 2027. Each represents a donor’s commitment to education, local students, and the future of the region.

“Thirty years of scholarships means an entire generation of students has been touched by the generosity of a community that believes in them,” said Sue Hafkemeyer, the Community Foundation’s president and CEO. “Our donors are continuing that commitment, creating new opportunities for students to build skills, explore their interests, and shape their futures.”

Scholarships are available for high school seniors as well as those who have already graduated. Opportunities support students continuing their education at trade and technical schools, community colleges, and four-year institutions. Eligibility requirements vary by scholarship, and students of different ages and educational backgrounds are encouraged to explore the options.

Applications for most scholarships are due February 15, 2027. The QC Auto Show Scholarship has an earlier deadline of January 17, 2027. Recipients will be announced in May 2027.

Students are encouraged to begin the application process early and review the requirements and deadlines for each scholarship. Scholarship information and applications are available at www.QCCommunityFoundation.org/scholarships.

“Scholarships help ensure that every student has the chance to pursue their potential,” said Kaleigh Trammell, the Community Foundation’s vice president of grantmaking. “Improving access to education fuels a stronger and brighter future for our region. Our donors have prioritized these scholarships, and it’s amazing to see the impact grow year over year.”
